In South Australia the fee to be paid to the Supreme Court on lodgement of Probate documents is tiered depending on the amount of the estate. The current fees are as follows:
$853 for estates with a gross value of $200,000 or less;
$1,706 for estates with a gross value of more than $200,000 but less than or equal to $500,000;
$2,273 for estates with a gross value of more than $500,000 but less than or equal to $1 million;
$3,410 for estates with a gross value of more than $1 million.
