It is often said that a Will speaks from death in that it only comes into effect on the death of the person who has made that Will. A Will has no effect when you are alive and so you should very seriously consider the appointment of trusted person to act for you in case you were to suffer some serious, perhaps permanent, physical or mental incapacity. There are two types of documents you should consider. Firstly, a Power of Attorney. This deals with your business and financial affairs. The other document is an Advance Care Directive which deals mainly with health and accommodation issues.
